About Insight Estates
Insight Estates is a platform for professional Danish real-estate players — investors, fund managers, brokers, credit institutions and real-estate lawyers. We bring official Danish registers and AI together in one workflow, so you can value and scrutinise a property quickly and on a basis you can stand behind.
The core is two things: register-based property valuation and due diligence on property transactions. We pull data from DAWA, BBR, the land registry (Tinglysning) and Statistics Denmark, let AI read your documents — and flag every discrepancy between the two. Official registers always take precedence, every insight can be traced to its source, and nothing important is confirmed on a guess.
The team behind Insight Estates
Insight Estates was founded by three co-founders, each with their own core competence — law and property investment, technology and AI, and business and execution. Together we cover the whole way from the legal basis of accountability to the technical platform.
Marie Skovgaard
Co-founder · Investment, law & due diligence
Marie is a lawyer specialising in property investment and tenancy law — and herself an active property investor and administrator since 2014. She is the author of the bestseller Den lille guide til investering i ejendom, a lay judge at the housing court in Frederiksberg and a landlord representative on Copenhagen's rent tribunal. She was previously senior legal counsel and compliance officer at DEAS and a public prosecutor.
At Insight Estates, Marie is the domain expert. She makes sure the platform's valuations and due diligence rest on a legally sound basis — and that they actually solve the problems investors and advisers meet in the real world.
Simon Stubben
Co-founder · Technical lead, product & AI
Simon is the technical lead and is behind the platform's architecture, data integrations and AI. He is an engineer from DTU with more than 15 years' experience as an IT architect and head of technology — including as Head of Technology at the fintech company Lunar, where he worked with compliance, screening and regulatory systems, and as a cloud and AI specialist at Devoteam.
At Insight Estates he brings that experience together in a platform where official registers, AI extraction and an audit trail work as one — built to hold up when a decision has to be documented and defended.
Lasse Kirkeberg Johansen
Co-founder · Business & project management
Lasse drives business development and execution. He is an engineer from DTU specialising in engineering management, a certified project manager (DS/ISO 21500) and a SAFe Agilist. He has led large digitalisation and IT projects — including in the Danish public healthcare system — and has himself co-founded and run tech companies.
At Insight Estates he turns the product vision into a structured, deliverable business — and keeps the focus on making sure what we build actually reaches its users.
